I remember when moms added a small can of crushed pineapple to a package of lime Jell-o and called it “salad. The “salad” didn’t taste good to me, but I loved Jell-o with lots of whipped cream. What is in gelatin?
Gelatin is made from from boiled cattle bones and pigskins. The bones and skins are soaked in an acid solution to extract collagen, dried, and ground into powder. Vegans who do not eat protein products may eat gelatin made from seaweed, kuzu vines, and guar plants. You may think gelatin is a new product, but it has been around for years.

A “Dessert” is a meal course that usually comes after dinner. Most often Dessert foods are of sweet food but can also be of a strongly flavored food, such as cheese, like cheese cake. The world dessert comes from the Old French word “desservir”, which means ‘to clear the table’. Often times in the English language dessert is confused with the word desert(note only one “s”), which is a baren peice of land normally with sand as soil.

I really enjoy eating at nice restaurants. Not because I don’t enjoy cooking, but more to the point, I enjoy good food. I was working in a small Oregon town for a while and found myself hard pressed for someplace really good to eat. There were plenty of restaurants in town, just very few with food I would consider really delicious. This same situation can be found in many small towns all over America.

Oooh!
Pure ecstasy, you say? I couldn’t agree with you more!

Christmas pudding is a dessert traditionally served on Christmas day in Britain, Ireland and some Commonwealth countries. It is sometimes known as “plum pudding”, but this name can also refer to other kinds of pudding based on dried fruit.
Christmas pudding is made with dried fruit and nuts, together with suet, and then steamed. It is very dark, almost black, and usually moist with brandy or other alcoholic beverages.
