The Mis Quince is also known as the La Quinceanera and is a gigantic family and friends celebration of your child’s 15th birthday. You may have planned a parade down to the local church where you can attend a special service and your daughter can formally accept her new roll of adulthood.

Last Friday was an extremely busy day at the office - finishing up a very busy work week. By 9:30 am - It had Become a “grind day” - that day you grind to get everything done for everybody else but accomplish nothing you need to do for your self.. At 10:15 my Customs Broker called to let me know US Customs had cleared my coffee shipment in a day instead of the normal three days - apparently they needed the room for all the toys and merchandise coming in from China. She suggested I needed to pick it up without fail. So after striking out and all the U- haul stores I called my friend Mike to see if I could use one of his vans. Mike, the Saint he is, runs Divine Resources, a ministry that feeds dozens of shelters around metro Atlanta - everyday for free. He of course replied I am going downtown anyway so yes I can certainly help you pick up your coffee.

The first thing that comes to mind when thinking of home made wines is grapes. How can we not associate wine with grapes when all you see on the shelves of liquor stores are countless wines produced by Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Cabernet and other types of grapes? There are, however, other fruits that can make a great wine. Since home making wine has become a popular hobby it has become more and more inexpensive and easy to make a creative wine all on your own. These wines can be made of affordable fresh fruits possibly from your own backyard. No matter where you live in the world, you are a short walk or car ride away from edible plants, berries and fruits which can easily make a great tasting creative wine. Many plants bear fruit that can be made into a delicious wine to suit your individual taste.

There are people who attend wine classes with an agenda other than to learn about wine, and there’s nothing wrong with that. A class is a great way to meet other people, in particular, people who also enjoy wine. It can be a fun night out for a small group of friends, and sometimes, towards the end of the class, when enough of it has been consumed to raise the volume of chatter louder than the instructor’s voice, it can more resemble a Friday night happy hour than a serious classroom. But that’s also part of its appeal.

Though jasmine tea is already considered a blend, it is often used as the base for additional blends because of the popularity of the jasmine tea base. Jasmine tea is mild and slightly sweet, making it perfect for combining with other flavors, like vanilla.

This easy pork chop recipe is a southern favorite. The pork chops are covered in thinly sliced onions and gravy, and simmered to a flavorful finish.

Choose a thicker sliced pork chop that is an even thickness throughout. Chops that are an even thickness will cook evenly with less drying.

Start the chop at a high heat to brown quickly, then finish at lower heat on the stove in the gravy. This produces a more tender and juicy chop.

Watch your heat and do not overcook. Overcooking will cause the chops to dry out. Serve this with a nice bread or biscuit to soak up the extra gravy or over rice. Excellent!

Baking powder 3 g

Sugar 1 kg

Water 1 kg

Ghee 500 g

Method of Manufacture

Freshly made khoa is broken into bits. Baking powder is mixed into maida separately. This mixture is added to the broken khoa and mixed again. Then it is kneaded by adding small quantities of water until uniform dough is obtained. Care has to be exercised while kneading not to allow oozing of fat. To avoid this, especially in summer, the vessel is kept in which the kneading is done upon a tray containing ice or chilled water. The consistency of the dough should be such that when made in to small balls, it has a smooth, uncracked surface.
